APPROACH

Our curriculum is carefully designed to ensure that all pupils leave us equipped with the following qualities on which to build their lives.

Literacy, numeracy, and digital skills for education and employment.

Fluent reading and comprehension developed across a diverse range of content.

Appropriate qualifications in English, Maths, and at least three other subjects.

Essential skills and character traits for a fulfilling and productive life.

Well cultivated social capital for meaningful relationships and effective societal functioning.

Outcomes of their Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP) fully met.

Due to the small number of students that take public examinations, as a school we do not publish exam data.

OUR CURRICULUM

At Castles Education we pride ourselves in providing an education that is engaging, creative and accessible to all of our learners at any point in the academic year.

We aim to provide, an aspirational and clearly sequenced curriculum which provides our learners with a clear pathway through to Key Stage 4 education and prepare them for adulthood, employment, and lifelong success.

We believe in providing our learners with a positive and robust educational experience, encouraging them to develop their full potential, build confidence and resilience, and where appropriate provide a pathway to reintegrate back into formal and/or mainstream education.

Our teaching staff, through their empathetic approach, provide motivation support, and guidance to our learners in every way possible to cater for their educational, social, and emotional needs whilst overall raising their academic aspirations and personal self-esteem.

MEETING STUDENTS NEEDS

With a diverse range of educational needs and abilities, many of our students face significant barriers to learning.

Our redEsigned curriculum focuses on fostering the development of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION

By providing alternative pathways to learning, we acknowledge that traditional methods may not suit every individual's needs. Our approach allows us to tailor our curriculum to the unique strengths, interests, and learning styles of our students.

Our most recent ISI Inspection highlighted the success of our assessment processes in and rigourous educaitonal framework that ensures every pupil progressess towards the targets and aspirations set out in their Educaiton Health and Care plans.
